E&M Sales’ own Harry Maynes and Andy Hawker are headed to the Big Easy for the 2010 Natural Gas STAR Annual Implementation Workshop at the fabulous Ritz Carlton Hotel in New Orleans, November 1-3. The conference will bring together Natural Gas STAR partners and industry experts from around the world to discuss the latest technologies and practices.
According to the EPA website, the annual Workshop’s purpose is to “further the program’s primary goal of facilitating information exchange about cost-effective methane emission reduction technologies and practices.”
This year’s Workshop will naturally have a special focus on the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule, the final version of which is expected any day. The Workshop will highlight international methane mitigation projects as well.
Andy and Harry plan to attend many of the informative conference sessions and the planned offsite field trip where they’ll get to see a demonstration of methane emission reduction technologies and practices.
The Natural Gas STAR Program was first introduced in 1993 and is a flexible, voluntary partnership that encourages oil and natural gas companies—both domestically and abroad—to adopt cost-effective technologies and practices that improve operational efficiency and reduce emissions of methane, a potent greenhouse gas and clean energy source.
